I found out today that a mother was run over by a bus and was killed in front of C.J. Morris Elementary School. The sad part is, she had four kids and one of her daughters saw the bus hit her. The mother was also carrying her toddler and from what I heard, she tossed her baby to safety before she was hit. I've read different articles online about the accident, all of them a little different. Some say that the bus swerved onto the sidewalk and hit her. I heard that the mother was running across and didn't see the bus and was hit, then the bus swerved onto the sidewalk. I don't think she sacrificed her life to save her baby like some articles say. I think she was the one that endangered her baby's life by running in front of the bus without seeing it. But it is still nice how she saved her baby either way. I also feel sorry for the bus driver. She must feel guilty. I heard that she quit her job as a bus driver. Overall, I feel sorry and sympathize with the mother's friends and family. Please excuse me if I didn't get the true story. Again, this is just what I heard and my opinions.

Birthday Party :D
On Saturday, one of my friends had a birthday party at Diamond Plaza. She invited four friends, but only two came. One of those two friends was me :)
We walked around Diamond plaza and went to "Cue!" We went to three different booths and had lots of fun figuring out poses and decorating our pictures (though we spent lots of money -__- but it was worth it :D)
For lunch, we ate at "Plaza Walk." Since the birthday girl got a big bowl of ramen, or something like that, we decided to all share. We had lots of trouble trying to get the ramen with our chop-sticks (which I don't really know how to use) and made a mess. One of the ladies working there dropped off bowls and spoons as she passed by our table and smiled at us. I thought that was really nice of her. That made our eating a lot easier XD
Then we went to "Cue!" again and went to one more booth :P it was too tempting.

Bamboo Fun!
Today my tablet came in the mail!! I'm really excited XD
It's a blue Bamboo Fun by Wacom. I've been playing around with it. I can't wait to actually use it to draw things. That's pretty much all I've got to say right now. :D

Walnut Family Festival
Today was the annual Walnut Family Festival. Since so many great things happened, I'll just pick out the highlights:
- During the parade, one of the drums in one of the bands dropped their drumstick. I picked it up and wanted to return it but they left by the time I walked over to where the parade ends. I gave it to a friend who knows somebody who goes to that school.
- The Staples booth was giving out free notebooks and folders. The person manning the booth told me one per person. When I said thank you, she said something similar to, "Wow! You're the first person to say thank you all day! We've handed out 100's of these and you're the only one who said thank you! Take another one!"
- We saw magic tricks by Matt Jarman. Really amazing :)
- Got lots of free stuff including inflatable balls, candy, these squishy star things and more :)
80's
Friday was 80's day at school! Meaning everyone had to dress up as if they lived during the 80's :)
I didn't know what to wear so I just tied my hair up on the side. Others went above and beyond. And some teachers really went 80's. My social studies teacher had a mullet wig and wore that all day. He also wore a pink shirt saying "Tough guys wear pink" and a denim jacket. My language arts teacher looked a lot like a teenager. She wore huge hoop and star earrings, a lot of make up, and wore jewelry like the 80's to match her 80's clothes.
During lunch, some of the teachers danced like they did in the 80's in the amphitheater. It was quite a sight XD

Scavenger Hunt
Last night, my church youth group went to the Brea Mall for a Scavenger Hunt! :) We split up into teams and got a list of clues. With cameras, we are supposed to take pictures of the stores or posters that the clues indicate. For example: I will never turn 22. The answer to that clue is Forever21 and you are supposed to find the store and take a picture of it.
I had a lot of fun searching around for the stores and taking pictures. At the end, my friends and I split a Cold Stone coffee ice cream with sliced almonds. Then we split a bag of warm cinnamon Wetzels Pretzels ( I think that's what they're called.) It was delicious ^^
Then we all drove back to church and reviewed our pictures and played Heads up Seven up. I really wish I could relive that night. XD

100+100
It's been a while since I've posted because of all my school things. But I decided to take some time off today and post :)
Last night, I remembered a funny thing from about first or second grade:
My friend and I were trying to outsmart a third or fourth grader with some math problems. Since we didn't know much, we used one of the biggest numbers we knew, 100, and what we thought was the most difficult operation, addition. This was our master equation: 100+100. I remember vividly how the third or fourth grader quickly got the answer and my friend and I were amazed. Then we started making equations like 100+100+100 and 100+100+100+100. Now that I look back at that day, it makes me laugh. :)
