Disneyland :D

On January 25, my school's Jazz band and Challenger band went to Disneyland :D (I'm part of the Jazz band.) We got to ride in Charter Buses! Quite nice... I sat with my friend and we listened to her Zune. We performed at Carnation Plaza, which has a really small stage... but at least I got to play on a white grand piano :D The lines were really short, so I was really happy about that :] The longest line my friends and I had to wait in was probably for the Peter Pan ride xD I'd say the most fun rides we went on were Pirates of the Carribean, Finding Nemo, Haunted Mansion, and Dumbo. :] I saw Marry Poppins and Bert for the first time!! (Though Bert looked nothing like the real Dick Van Dyke... ) We left at around 8:00 PM... which is early for me xD my family usually stays until around closing time. I had a great time :]

Genesis Retreat 2008 photos

Here are some photos I took during my church's Genesis (which is the name of the group made up of teens and preteens) Retreat 2008 :]

Genesis Retreat 2008!!

YAY!!
I just got back from my Church's Genesis. It was my first time :D
We went to Tahquitz pines in Idyllwild. I got to grow closer to God and have fun too :) My friends and I played with the snow and made a snowman named Frosty. ( I know it's not a very creative name... ) We also had snowball fights :D I roomed with great people too and one of them taught me how to solve one side of a Rubik's cube! I've always wanted to do that :) They played Capture the Flag at 10:00 PM with glow-sticks and I played for a while... then I got too cold xD. We played lots of fun board games too and drank hot chocolate. :D Some of my room mates woke up really early to watch the sunrise, but they couldn't see it because the mountains were blocking the sun. Luckily, I didn't care to see the sunrise and I got more sleep xD The food was yummy, the sermons were great, and the cold wasn't too bad... except for the mornings and evenings xD. After the retreat, we all met at Home Town Buffet to eat lunch. Sadly, I wasn't hungry -___- I ate as much as I could to get my money's worth... but it was still fun just to be with everybody :) a lot of other exciting things happened... but then I think the post would get too long xD
I took pictures with my new camera and I'm planning to post some on my blog when I get the chance...
I was really sad when we left... I wish it was a week long... It went by too fast. I was looking forward to it for weeks and now it's over. :( BUT, at least I know how and want to be wholly devoted to God and I grew spiritually. AND... there's next year's Genesis retreat!! can't wait xD

Canon PowerShot SD1000

YAY!! I'm so happy x]

Last night, I went shopping with my brother and my sister. We went to Best Buy and bought a Wii game, Mario and Sonic Olympic Games, and a camera! We combined all of our gift cards from Christmas 2007 and it came out to about $145. We also returned a Christmas present and got about $10 from that, so the Wii game and the camera really only cost us about $90. Plus, the camera was on sale. :D I think the camera mainly mine... so I feel extra happy. xD

It's a white Canon PowerShot SD1000 with 7.1 MP. I've never gone camera shopping before, so I wasn't exactly sure what to look for in a good camera. Fortunately, my brother was there to help a lot. :) I also heard that Canon has good lenses and good quality from my friends and they were right. I almost got a green Fuji camera that slides for the same price, but the photo didn't seem as sharp as the Canon. I was tempted... the green was nice. But I went for photo quality. I took pictures at night with my Canon and it came out amazingly sharp and clear. It focuses fast and can record videos with sound. It's also thin and small :D I've taken lots of photos with it already because I was so excited. I would give it a 5 out of 5 star rating. I can't really find any flaws or negatives in it... but then again, I just got it last night. But I saw that the Best Buy website has it rated 4.7 out of 5 stars, which isn't bad. If you're looking for a good camera for a good price, I would say you should most definitely consider the Canon PowerShot SD1000.

All-Nighter!!

It's been a while since I've posted... Christmas (which was great :] ) passed and today is January 1, 2008!! Last night I went to my church's annual All-Nighter where we stay at church the whole night (like a sleepover) to watch the ball drop and play games :) I didn't sleep until 8:30 AM when I was back at home the next day. I really thought I would fall asleep, but I didn't feel tired. I played Guitar Hero 3, Cooking Mama ( on the Wii xD ), ping-pong, and all these other really fun games. We also played group games like Sardines and a scavenger hunt. Yet another one of those times that I wish I could relive... *sigh*

I feel depressed that Christmas break is almost over -___- only less than a week to go. And my brother and sister are going back to college... I'm going to miss them :( I don't want to go back to school and have to wake up early, go to sleep early, and do homework every night... Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
